The Joe Norwood Golf Swing
by Dan Norwood
(Orange)
I have two sites. They're both free of charge - I do sell my Grandfathers Book Golf-O-Metrics and his VHS now DVD The Anatomy of Golf both by Joe Norwood.
I'm in the video doing the metrics and talking to my Grandfather. My main page site is eclectic as it deals with many aspects of my life but all you need do is click on Norwood Golf and you're in my world. The Norwood swing is contrarian to most of what is taught today. Accuracy is more important than distance and my teaching forum only discusses the Norwood Swing. I do not adjust a swing to the golfer I adjust the golfer to the swing.
My forum gets almost 20,000 hits from (this year) almost 30 countries so somebody is listening. I don't like to talk theory or what someone else has done unless it's Findlay, Vardon, Hogan, Snead, Crampton or Travis and if you don't know these names you don't know much about history. The Norwood swing started in the 1880's with Alexander Findlay, then to Vardon, then to Hogan and Snead and Crampton and finished where it all started back in the 1880's to 1900's with Walter J. Travis. One swing for all - that's my handle on many websites. One swing for all not all swings for one.
Poor Golf is a Gift - Good Golf is Acquired - Knowledge, Application, Feel & Judgment are the mantras of the Joe Norwood Swing. My site is simple. You don't have to buy anything. I teach mostly on the web or to followers who come to California.
I don't just teach anyone and someone who says they want to become good (to me) means someone who wants to play below PAR - I haven't met one yet - I hope to so I can pass this swing on - My site has no hype on it - only knowledge and links to knowledge.
Don't tell me what to do tell me how to do it. I tell people how to do it and show them with their own body how to hit the ball perfectly straight. You can find me @ www.network54.com/Forum/633116 or @ www.Dan-Norwood.com
