Ping Putters
Putting the Zing in your Ping
Karsten Solheim started making he's Ping Putters
out
of he's garage from he's home in Redwood City California in 1959. In
1966 Karsten had an idea for a new putter flash into he's mind, he
designed the new Ping Putter on a piece of paper but was unable to come
up with a name for the design. He's wife called it the "Answer"
as this was the "answer" to golfers putting problems. The name was to
long to fit on the putter, so was shortened to the "Anser".
The Anser would go on to be the most influential golf
putter, setting the standard for the "conventional"
putter and racking up 500 professional golf wins thus becoming the "winningest"
putter in history.
From the new i-Series and Karsten
models to the traditional Anser,
there's a Ping putter that can help you save strokes on the green. Each
putter is designed to be custom-fit to your individual putting stroke.
The two new series represent the latest advancements in feel,
forgiveness and alignment options. The i-Series features a 2-piece
insert for improved feel and control. The Karsten Series provides
steel-face feedback with an elastomer cavity insert for added feel. The
Redwood models are 100% milled from 303 stainless steel for players who
seek the performance of machined putter technology.
The new iWi Putter Series is amazing
and can be customised to
suit your particular putting stroke. No need to change putters, want
more weight towards the heel or toe? Just ad a 20 or 28 gram tungsten
weight. In all there are nine weight combinations when you choose the
optional weight kit (sold separately). Each putter comes two 12 gram
stainless steel weights and a two piece steel/elastomer insert to give
you that professional feel.
The Redwood Series pays tribute to
Karsten's home town of
Redwood City California where it all began. Made from 303 stainless
steel with two finish options—Black Nickel or Black Satin—the series
offers both classic and new model shapes designed for players seeking
the very best.
For golfers preferring the performance of a steel face
with an insert feel, the Karsten Series
meets the criteria. An elastomer insert in the cavity provides enhanced
feel while maintaining the solid response of a steel-faced putter.
Weight savings from the new cavity shapes were redistributed to the
perimeter to increase each putter's moment of inertia for added
forgiveness. Multi-level alignment aids are designed into most models.
Lightweight, high-grade aluminium and dense, tungsten
heel/toe weights compose this latest addition to the JAS
Series.
When added to the aluminium body, the tungsten weights maximize the
perimeter weighting to earn it the distinction of being Ping's highest
MOI putter (and thus most forgiving) to date. The proprietary C805
aluminium offers both strength and a pleasing feel and sound while a
deep black, anodized coating ensures durability and an eye-catching
appearance.
Ping putters have come a long from Karsten's garage in
Redwood City California, with tour player like Lee Westwood,
Miguel Angel Jimenez, Chris DiMarco Bubba Watson and loads
more putting their faith in Ping Putters. So if you want to put that "zing"
into your putting stroke, choose Ping
