Manging To Fix Golf
Slice Issues
Will Make A Difference To Your Game
Clearly being able to fix golf slice issues will result
in a major improvement to your game and there are several things you
could try doing in order to solve this problem. Cure Your Slice Today
Every golfer is going to encounter this problem at some
time so never believe you are
the only one suffering because on any
course, at any given time, somebody is struggling!
First of all it makes sense to understand what causes a
slice as to know what causes it should then make it easier to rectify
the problem. Quite simply, this will be caused by the face of the club
being opened at the point of striking the ball. This then sends the
ball off spinning in a clockwise direction, or the opposite if you are
left handed, which shoots the ball off at an angle.
To begin with you are best to look at your grip because
trying to fix golf slice problems will often involve changing how you
hold the club.
This is because if you have a weak grip then the club is
more likely to turn during the swing which then opens the face up on
impact causing the problem.
If you naturally have this weaker grip then it is advised to turn the
grip further right, or slightly further left should you be left handed,
as this will actually strengthen it without you gripping the club any
harder.
If you just try to tighten your hands it will only
create tension in your wrists and cause problems.
Another golf tip is to look at your actual stance as
being at the wrong angle can lead to this slice problem developing. A
lot of people think that if they are hitting it right they should
therefore stand more to the left however this is not the case and will
only make the problem worse.
Put a club on the ground that is parallel to your target
line and then have someone look at your alignment according to that
club. By adjusting your body so it is parallel to this club you will
then find that you are straighter and this can help to solve that golf
slice problem.
Pay close attention to your backswing as there are a
couple of things that can go wrong with it which would then lead to the
slice appearing. If you lift it too high and it is not enough around
then you will strike the ball at the wrong angle so you need to be sure
that the shaft is actually over your shoulder and not your head as the
first part.
During the swing allow the club to turn due to your
shoulder and do not turn it in your wrists. As the club comes down
never push it forward with your arms and just allow your weight to move
to your front foot and let your torso turn naturally towards the target
to allow the club to drop at the correct angle.
So those are some tips to remember when trying to fix
golf slice issues. By looking at your grip, stance, and swing and
working on these things you should then hopefully see the slice vanish
with a bit of practice.
