Best TWO Shots I've Ever Played

The first time I ever played golf my dad took me out on a small public course in our town. It was misty out and the course had closed so we walked and played the course with no one on it (perfect for a first timer). We were on the third hole when I was about 25-30yards out. My dad told me how he would play the chip and run shot from here and I took out a seven iron, choked up and gave it my best shot..... it went in the hole! I couldn't tell you what I made on that hole but I can tell you that it was that moment when golf took over my life.

The second was about 10 years later; I was playing with a friend at a Madison, WI golf course called The Oaks. I had just bought a new Cleveland 50 degree wedge and was eager to use it. The second hole was a 145 yard par 3 and I pulled out the new wedge to hit it for the first time on a course. I aimed a little right and drew the ball back in towards the hole, as it landed about 6ft past the hole the backspin kicked up and brought the ball directly into the cup! I yelled at the top of my lungs at 7am as I threw my new club in the air and jumped higher than I ever had before while slapping high fives to everyone in my foursome. I immediately called my dad and told him I had just made my first ace!

I was addicted to golf when I made the chip in the first time I ever played but it was that moment when golf truly consumed my life.
