Best Shot I've Ever Seen

Saw Ben Hogan in 1987 at Riviera CC in California. Mr. Hogan was hitting 3 irons from the practice fairway between number 1 and number 2 and softly drawing them over the trees so they would land with little roll in the first fairway. He was just warming up and repeated the shots about 5-8 times. The balls were very close together where they landed. He was 75 years of age at the time, playing Apex blades with extra stiff shafts, tipped an inch (cut off at the tip to make hem even stiffer) which made it even more amazing. Later for fun, he asked people to tell him what shape of shot to hit and he hit them, no problem. At 75, he could still blister the long irons with all types of trajectories. They left the clubface hissing. And he was probably just a shade over five foot eight and seemed in pretty good shape for his age.
